Z.R. Peaceful Home AFH is a 2-story style home located in the city of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, at 1232 Brunette Downs Drive, Madison WI 53718. The home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a laundry room on the 2nd floor, zero bedrooms, a half bath and storage room on the main floor, and 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, and a utility in the basement. The eat-in kitchen and a large living room are on the main floor. The basement, which houses the residents, also has a living room and dining area. There is a beautiful backyard for family activities and entertainment in the summer months. Both men and women may choose to live at Z.R. Peaceful Home. The home will provide a private room for each of the residents. A vehicle will be available for traveling about the community.
The home is in a community setting with quick and easy access to community activities and services. Residents can walk around the neighborhood just like other residents. From the outside, the home is like any other home in the neighborhood. The home is not equipped for residents in wheelchairs or who walk with canes and crutches.
Our Mission
Z.R. Peaceful Home Care LLC is seeking certification by the State of Wisconsin as an Adult Family Home, under Wisconsin Administrative Code HSS 88 to serve up to two (2) persons, of all genders of adult age, with developmental disabilities, mental illness, traumatic brain injury, and irreversible dementia/Alzheimer’s within a community-based setting. We provide affordable and comfortable housing and trained support staff to assist with activities of daily living. We strive to maintain our resident’s dignity through careful and respectful service. We are seeking to partner with i-Care, Community Care/Family Care of Wisconsin, and similar placement agencies.
Our Vision
The overall goal of Z.R. Peaceful Home is to maximize the resident’s cognitive, affective, physical health, and psychomotor skills to help them obtain their highest possible level of functioning. This will be accomplished through attitudes of hopefulness, a structured, yet warm environment, individualized treatment plans with realistic goals, and the opportunity for group living and social interaction. Imperative to the program is an emphasis on community integration to the greatest extent possible for each resident. Examples of such integration are religious activities, cultural events, and social interaction through community events and activities. Each resident will have a goal-oriented Individualized Service Plan that will be discussed and reviewed with case managers, guardians, families, and others involved in their lives.
